I was unsuccessful, although Tom Ainsby sent me a photo of him stuck in Singapore with a u/s Lincoln. Then just a few days ago, having seen my request on the net, his daughter contacted me. Sadly he died just recently, on 25 June 2015, aged 89. So I just missed meeting him again. His daughter, Linda Ingledow née Stephens, has allowed me to inform the Association. I salute a great man well liked by a generation of ATC cadets in the 1950s. |
