The Squadron, with its formation in 1914, has been in existence for much of the period of powered flight - after all, it was only in December 1903 when Orville Wright made the first manned powered flight. And because of this, the following list of aircraft used by the Squadron is full of evocative names such as Blériot, AVRoe, Sopwith and Voisin. It is hoped that the list is as complete as it possibly can be.
